Method 1:

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

  • A vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment.

  • Cornstarch or baking soda.

  • A soft-bristled brush.

  • A lint roller.

Step 2: Vacuum Gently

Normally, we begin by gently vacuuming the stuffed animal with the hose attachment. In Malaysia, the weather is almost always very humid and constantly heaty.

So, stuffed animals and other ocunterparts will trap more dust and moisture than usual. By doing this, it will help to remove all these impurities.

Step 3: Apply Cornstarch or Baking Soda

We sprinkle cornstarch or baking soda over the stuffed animal. We know that powders act as natural cleaners and deodorizers.

Some let the powder sit for about 30 minutes but we have cleaned over hundreds of toys over the years in our business.

So usually a you'd need longer timeframe like an hour to let it sit on the toy itself.

Step 4: Brush Off the Powder

It is not neccessary to use a soft-bristled brush. We use a new cleaned toothbrush by gently brushing off the cornstarch or baking soda from the stuffed animal.

The most important thing is that you need to be thorough to remove all the powder.

Step 5: Use a Lint Roller

For any remaining dust or powder, use a lint roller. This step will help clean off any residue and make the stuffed animal look neat.

Step 6: Air it Out

Finally, let the stuffed animal air out in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. This helps eliminate any leftover odors.

Method 2:

You can just send it for dry cleaning at a fixed price. Everything from the detergent selection, to the drying method is systemized in place to give you the best outcome of a clean stuffed toy. You can do that by sending it to us at Sinar Saredah.

Stuffed animals often serve as comfort objects, providing a sense of security and companionship.

Research suggests that act of hugging a stuffed animal can releaseoxytocin, one of the'feel-good' hormones that promotes relaxation and reduces stress. Additionally, the familiarity of a beloved stuffed animal can bring back pleasant memories from childhood, providing a sense of comfort and security. -

When these beloved items are clean, they are more inviting and comforting to hold, which can be especially important for children who rely on them for emotional support.

Clean toys can also reduce anxiety in children, as they are free from the discomfort or distress that might come from playing with a dirty or smelly toy.

2. Strengthen family relationships

Establishing a regular cleaning routine for stuffed animals can be a valuable bonding activity between parents and children.

This routine can be transformed into a fun and educational ritual, teaching children the importance of taking care of their belongings.

Mood Improvements: Monitoring for signs of happiness or contentment when interacting with stuffed animals. Anxiety Levels: Recording any reduction in anxious behaviors or agitation with the presence of a stuffed animal. Social Interaction: Noting if the stuffed animal encourages conversation or reminiscing. Sleep Patterns: Observing changes in the patient's sleep quality or duration when a stuffed animal is used for comfort at night.

Involving children in the cleaning process, even if it's just shaking out the dust or brushing off dirt, can instill a sense of responsibility and pride in maintaining their toys.

Additionally, this routine can provide structure and consistency, which are beneficial for children's development.
